John M. Stone is Chairman and President of a Texas-based group of companies - John M. Stone Co., John M. Stone Mgmt. Corp., Stone Equities Corporation, and Stone Financial Corporation. Services provided to clients include commercial investment brokerage, property management and leasing, creation of group investment vehicles, mortgage financing and investment, and professional fee consulting on a wide range of problem-solving assignments, such as the work-out of problem partnerships and ownership situations.

Stone has served as a court-appointed receiver and bankruptcy estate property manager, in addition to having provided expert testimony in litigation matters. He has extensive experience in planning and zoning cases and in the bond-financing of commercial real estate.

Stone has earned Mediation Panel Certification from TRG, in association with Pepperdine University School of Law's Institute for Dispute Resolution.

Stone earned his Associate of Arts degree from Texarkana Community College; his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of North Texas; and his Master of Business Administration degree from the Edwin L. Cox Graduate School of Business at Southern Methodist University. He has also engaged in additional studies in tax law at The University of North Texas, and has completed one year at SMU Law School.

Stone served for a period of eighteen years on the Editorial Advisory Board of Southwest Real Estate News.

Stone is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the States of Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana. He earned the Certified Comercial Investment Member (CCIM #660) designation in November 1976, the Certified Property Manager (CPM #8188) designation in May 1982, and the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation in November 1993.

Stone served as 1991 national CCIM president, having held practically every major national office in that organization. He has also been active in local, state and national Realtor activities. He has been appointed as 1996 Chair of the Commercial & Investment Real Estate Committee for the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and their Reciprocal Director to the Norway Association of Real Estate Agents. He is also serving as a member of NAR's Board of Directors.
